Potty Training
Toby: Mix

We rescued a very cute and well behaved 6yr old Pomerian mix in August. The only problem is Toby wets and poops wherever and whenever he wants. His favorite spot seems to be need the dining room table which is in the living room. (He also won't go on the grass in the yard but on the cement patio instead.) He is a very loving little boy and loves to sleep cozily on your lap while you watch your favorite tv show. But even when I take him outside he won't go. I've been outside for 1/2 hr and nothing. We've tried to watch him after he's eaten or had a drink and sometime we're successful but then again he could easily come in and "lift his leg" in the dining room. We've tried cleaning the area, using a nuteralizer and then putting his toys in that area, he just went around the toys. We are at our wit's end and don't know if a 6 yr old can be retrained or who to turn to. Our vet gave us this web-site. So guess we're asking for ideas and any help you can give us. We won't take him back to the pound but can't let him ruin our house. Thanks,

My favorite place was to crawl up into mom's house plants on the floor and poop. We have all tile floors in our house now though. Shammy
