Snuggles: Age 15
| | Hi, I'm snuggles and I'm actually 15 years old but I couldn't find a space that says it, although I'm virtually blind, maybe I missed it. anyway, my daughter Mitzi and I live with this new hyper fart of a puppy named Guiness. I read on this page that he called my daughter and I "Grouchy Fuzzballs"! I'm the Alpha dog in this house, I have seniority, where does this little one get off antagonizing us! So far we have snapped at him for biting our fur, taking our food, and hogging all the attention. I just want to get the record straight. We may be old pekingese but we have our pride. The thing that makes me the maddest is when he jumps on me from my blind side, and I can't see him coming. This pup seems to thing it is all a big game. We bite him, he barks and barks and then pulls our fur. He also gives mom a hard time when it comes to giving me my eyedrops, and he gets in there and jumps on me. This puppy needs a good lesson in respect for elders. Unfortunatly he is already bigger than me. Any suggestions on how to tame this little beast?---your friend Snuggles

Comment:
We pekingese never give up being alpha dog. I had a pekingese cousin that was blind too. He never let me be alpha even when he was sixteen. He hardly got around but if we were together it would be a fight to death. One time I took a big hunk out of the old guys ear. My mom had to rush him to the vet to get stitches. Till the end that guy remained king. At least in his heart. Now, I am king. Maggie tried to be alpha ONCE and I bit her nose real hard. That is all it took. To this day she doesn't mess with me. Eventhough she weighs 60 pounds more than me. Andrew
