first let me say i love my mommy and i never let her forget it - i’m always jumping in her lap if she tries to sit down or on her head when she’s sleeping, and i growl if the other guys try to come near coz she’s MY MOMMY. i don’t like it when she leaves us for work but i really don’t like it when she leaves us inside while she does stuff outside. i want to be with her ALL of the time!

well, it finally stopped raining and mommy had to go outside and clean up the "mud-pit" coz we had so much water in the yard that everything was ruint altho i like the mud and i can’t make mommy understand that! that red clay looks so good on my white coat, i just have to lay in it! anyway, mommy went outside but before she did, she opened up the big bay windows to let the air in. then she put us in our kennels and went outside to guard-en. well i wasn’t very happy in my kennel and i scratched and scratched and scratched at it then i turned it upside down and the door popped open! wow, i’m gonna hafta remember that trick! so i got free and i went looking for mommy, but she was outside. i could see her in the garden, but i wanted to surprise her so i didn’t bark or make any noise - i just went to the window and scratched on the screen, but i couldn't get out. so, i scratched and scratched and scratched and i made a good long rip in the screen, but it wasn’t enuff to get out so i went to the other window and scratched on that screen. just as i got a nice big hole in the screen, mommy started to come up the walk - uh oh! i ran back to the kitchen but i couldn’t get back in my kennel so i started barking at Teddy to let me in his house - mommy came in and she looked at my crate and said oh dear, how did you do that? then she let us out in the garden with the big boyz and Tia so’s we could go potty while she fixed my house. when she let me back in, i went and showed Taz the holes and he helped me make them bigger. we hid behind the curtains and scratched - then Taz saw a bird and he tried to get through the one hole but he didn’t fit, but guess what! i got outside, and got to run around all by myself. pretty soon i got bored coz no one else was there so i tried to go back inside the hole, but the window was too high up for me to get back in! so i stood at the door and barked and mommy came and let me in - she was confused coz she didn’t know what i could do yet, and she thought she left me outside when everybody else came in. then i did it AGAIN! and got out, and barked at the door only this time Tia ratted on me and showed mommy the hole behind the curtain. i think mommy was kinda happy coz she said "oh, Gus" like she did when i ate the puter cord and the checkbook, then she just shook her head and made a kinda howling noise like i do when i’m real happy.

now mommy keeps the windows closed until she gets the screens fixed, and she turned on something called an air condishner that spews cold air on my belly - it feels good! if i’da known she would do that i would have ripped those screens out a lot earlier!

Teddy says he’ll write soon, but he hasn’t been really bad lately. he’s kinda shy and would rather chew on mommy’s puter than write on it, but i’ll let him tell you that story.
