Bad Dog Chronicles: Tails of Woe Video Now On YouTube! Here is a description of the video |
I just found out about this website today. I have been reading and reading the stories and just cracking up laughing. I absolutely love dogs and love to hear what they are all up to. Thank you so much for this wonderful form of entertainment. You really have some talented dogs writing to you!
This is Michele..I own JC..a white chihuahua. I love this site. It's very funny. I've become addicted to it...
Mommy and I think this is the greatest website ever created. You humans were kind and smart enough to create and leave it up to the dogs to maintain it. Good job.
Your Royal Highness, Princess.
We got on this site to see bad dogs, like ours, really hoping to see torn cushions and destroyed flower beds. We'll check back.
Dear Guinness's Master, Why haven't I seen anything related to my German Shepard Sonnitag?!?! I also haven't seen any of Sonnitag's comments on these stories?!?!?!
Sincerly, Sonnitag's Master
Mom just got a computer a month ago. An am I ever having fun on it. I found this website and It is just the one for me and my sister Gypsy. I have lots of stories to tell. I can hardly wait till Mom gets off so I will be my turn. Archie ( wild dog)
I luv your website. I can go to it when Daisy does something wrong. And I can see that when it comes down to it, Daisy isn't that bad. I would love to get the video but I have to work for the money. So it won't be any time soon. Keep this site going.

My name is Linda Odette, assistant features editor at the Grand Rapids, Press, Grand Rapids, Mich...wanted to run some titles from stories on your web site and list your web site location as part of a package we're doing for Tuesday paper...just want an OK from you to do so...please reply ASAP to lodette@gr-press.com
I'm letting dad look at this now... Andrew.
Hello...My name is Linda Odette. I am the assistant features editor for the Grand Rapids Press in Grand Rapids, Mich. We have a couple of dog-related events coming up and have done a reader participation story in which readers sent us their funniest dog tales. As part of the page we publish, I would like to include the name of your website, a brief description, and a list of 5-10 humorous titles from the stories section of your site. (I found the titles quite amusing). I see you have a copyright at the bottom of the site, so I am asking your permission to do this. Please respond to Lodette@gr-press.com. Thank you very much, Linda Odette
My boyfriend gave me the book for Valentines Day and i don't think i have ever laughed so hard in my life. The book is what brought me to your website and i think it is awesome. What a spectacular idea! I love it! keep the sories coming it is always nice to know that everyone goes through the same thing! and that we can laugh about it too!
We are all still laughing over some of the stories. We are a family of 4 adults and one QUEEN (Lab). We have read all the stories and are still trying to decide which is the best. We thought we had a bad dog, but nothing a good as what we read in your book. Thanks for the laughs. Debbie R
This website is really fun and educational. We have a Westie and a Dalmation. My only problem is that I wrote a little story and hit the submit button but the story was lost. I tried again and still no luck. Am I doing something wrong. I was still connected to the net. thanks Jody
Your website is very good. The stories are funny and the photos are super! keep up the good work!

I think I have been visiting this site for at least 3 years. I have the Video even. Did you ever have people vote for their favorite stories? I would love to see the top 20 or so. I certainly have my favorites.
I stumbled upon this site quite by accident. Now I cant stay away from you. I even submitted my own dogs story. Nelson the Otterhound. I eat my own poop, so!. Thank you for having such an enjoyable site.

We love the website - it's bookmarked in our "favorites". It reminds the old guys of some of the bad dog stunts they've pulled and gives the new kids on the block some ideas of bad things to do.
Our Mom has told everyone she knows about the site. She just ordered the video but it hasn't come yet. We're thinking the video will be a great Christmas present for lots of people owned by dogs - either this year or next year if we run out of time. We will do what it takes to support this web site and keep it going because it's way too much fun. It's even more fun than rolling in poop!
Keep up the great work, Doug and keep us all posted on the adoption! You have thousands of friends out here if you guys need a character reference! I have a teenager you can have for free. He eats alot but he's already housebroken.
Dad wonders why a business like maybe a pet supply store, a breeder, Grandma's knitting dog sweaters or just any business that is prepared to go national or international doesn't advertise on your site. Hey, business owners out there - think about it. Great coverage and readership! The visitors are growing all the time. Mom would double click on anybody who supports our favorite site!

so my friend got this card with a dog photo copying his butt for his master. The inside says, "I miss your face." We dont really understand it. But me and my friends all call each other "facers." Naturally I love and would enjoy learning more about this card. so if there's any information I could get I'm at, haazb@lafayette.edu thank you. Ben Haaz
I came by this site by accident, it was the best accident I have ever had, Dusty (my dog) said to say, he never gets accolades for accidents; oh well, we look forward to visiting this site often.
Sincerely, Lisa and Dusty Ames
fun to read ...thanks
fun to read ...thanks
I think your website is the best on the internet! I love it!! Roni (and Coco, the barking sheltie)
This is the only website that I check on a regular basis. Also, it has affected my life in a major way. I was reading stories here, and read about a Bernese Mountain Dog. I'd never heard about them, so I started reading up on them. I'm now the owner of one (Sascha)!
I don't know if my last comment made it through so...
Basically I said I loved the sight and that it's a shame you haven't made any money from your endevor. Have you advertised in the Dog magazines,(like Dog World, Dog Fancier, Dog-a-holic)? If you haven't, and the price isn't prohibitivly expensive, I think it would be a great boon to your site. You'd be reaching tons of dog-nuts in one fell swoop. You know what they say about spending money to make money(I know, I hate the bastards that say that. They already HAVE the freakin' money!).
In the meantime, I'll do my part and tell any dog lovers I know about this wonderful sight. I even submitted a story about my pooch Tika. Best of luck with this stuff,
'Wolf
PS - Good luck with the adoption!

I love It! I love dogs, have 3 full time & 1` part time dog. They are characters too! Well of course they are. Anyway I find the site very entertaining. When I can get the boys (&girl) to sit down & write, they can send in their stories. In the meantime, we are enjoying yours. Thank you. Terry Shrader, Mario, Joe, & Sissy (full time) & Bandit (parttime)
Great Site!! Discovered it by accident.------ Keep up the good(bad) work!
I really like these stories, they make my baby look like an angel!
Hi there,
I am a weird engineer from Germany and I have a question:
Do you know where I can get a shareware copy of Bad Dog Screensaver?
Thany for yer help Karsten
I am the proud new mommy of a 2 yr.old yellow lab! And we are discovering the joys and "surprises"of dog/human ownership. for the most part she is darling and the light of my life and will be the flower girl at our wedding!
we forgot to tell ...that mommy tells us all the stories.......and I usually listen and nod ...then fall asleep while shes telling me this STUFF..im really good..why do i have to hear this?
we check in all the time and love to hear all the stories and it makes mommy realize she has a great PUPPY...one year old but always her baaabbby... woof woof...
I found your site quite by accident when I was surfing the net last month and I couldn't find it again until tonight. I have now made a note of the address so I can visit again. I love all the stories that I've read so far and have had a lot of laughs. There can never be a bad bad dog story. Thanks for putting a smile on my face Paula
I LOVE YOUR SITE.! IT HAS PROVIDED MANY HOURS OF LAUGHTER AND SMILES FOR ME......THANK YOU!
My human mom LOVES your site. She is forever checking on what's new...giggling over the various antics of my canine buddies. I am forced to live with two FELINES (imagine!) and I promised I would pass on to you they would like a wee kitty section. Especially the cat who clawed the new sofa to absolute ribbons...she could fill up VOLUMES. From: your fan, Jake, the Golden Retriever.
Dear Baddogs, Despite you seeming to be a little disillusioned (re:video sales and prospective book sales), we love the site, so thanks a million. Buddy Beagle and owner (Sue)
I just found your site and it is great!! One thing, please check the spelling and grammer in your stories. The stories are much funnier if you don't have to figure out what word is missing.
Keep up the great work.
This site is the greatest! I am Kiwi, a Black Lab, I will be turning 1 next month. My Mommy loves to read about other Lab's, (she probably figures she can prevent some things by looking up what other doggies have already achieved, hee hee)
This is the only Website We get on(usually). If it wern't for this website, How would us dogs tell our BAD stories to humans. We would only get to tell it to other dogs. This is our favorite website, at least for Sable and I. I don't know about other dogs, but this website is The Best.(Mabe somtime all of us dogs can get together for an award in there honor)
-Jam
Your website is extremeley good but I would enjoy it better if you put the newer stories in the front of the storie list and the older ones in the back.
Love the stories, they have given me (milly) & my big sister (sheena) some great ideas for things to do when our mum & dad are out. A next story/previous story button would be good too.
Woof for now!!
What a great website! I stumbled onto it recently and just couldn't get away again.
The stories are great, and my 2 Ridgebacks love to hear them. Keep it up!
Thanks from all three of us.
This is Annie again. yes I, that is my mom would buy a bumper sticker and stuff.
for creating and maintaining this site....its given me hours of laughter - some real belly laughs - and I can only say again -THANK YOU
Susan Schwartz (susani@execpc.com) owned by 2 cats and a very mouthy pug named the Toaster
Hi ya all!
I really love this website. My owners do too, I think. I love reading my stories and comments, sometimes about other dogs too.
Is it true that you might have to close it, Doug????
I would add money if I could get my paws on it, but we're on what my owner said was a 'financial budget.' Besides, she doesn't know what PAWIER is, so she won't buy it. -Misty ;)
We Love the Bad Dog Chronicles! It gives all of us wonderful bad or not so bad dogs a place to tell our tales and get ideas from others! Keep it up Andrew, Emily, and Maggie! Oh, and special thanks to Doug for helping too.---Your furry friends, Snuggles, Mitzi, and Guiness
It would be helpful to be able scroll from story to story instead of going back to the index each time.
You need "next" story and "previous" story buttons.
Dear Andrew, Emily, Maggie:
We are afraid it just won't work, selling the Bad Dog Chronicles. That's because oftentimes the comments from you are the best part of the story. You make us laugh. Whoever buys the website will not have the same perspective that you do on dog behavior. Trust us. You guy/gals are unique. Not to mention that we will miss you. We tried to e-mail you , but we can't get through. The message in your e-mail site says we haven't registered our e-mail address. But we can't figure out how to do that. We're just your basic Cockers with a basic knowledge of computers. We aren't website geniuses. So here's our e-mail: jwbrennan@vipmail.com
Your friends: Candy, Cookie, Danny Boy (Cockers in California)
Since you have changed the website, we have noticed that alot more humans are logging in with stories. Can you put it in bigger letters that the DOGS should write in, not the people? Your friends, Candy/ Cookie/ Danny Boy ---Cocker Spaniels in California.
I love the chronicles but hate the new design. The colors are too bold for me to try and get away with reading this stuff at work. Also Frames are a pain to move around in.
Go back to a simple design again. Thanks!!
Thanks for making it so we can change the color scheme according to how we want it. I know black and white is boring but it's just so easy to read. We're getting used to the new design now. Your friends, Candy, Cookie, Danny Boy (Cockers in California).
Your face lift looks great! Bright colors...fun and cheerful, but please...in the name of all the is holy......get rid of the frames!!!!!!
We are having trouble reading the text on the stories that the other dogs write. The red background with yellow letters is too hard on our eyes. We used to be able to read the stories for a long time. Now we have to stop after ten stories or less. Our Mom is in the printing business and she says it is always best to have a light background and dark letters. We just wish you would stick with the traditional black letters on white background for the stories.
Also, it is really inconvenient to submit comments now. After we are done with our comments, then we click on "submit" and get thrown clear back to the main menu. What a pain to find wherever we were reading in the first place and where is the next story we want to read.
So, now we don't read as much and we don't comment very much either. Other than that, we hope you don't let Emily hog the website. Andrew and Maggie are fun too.
Your friends: Candy, Cookie, Danny Boy (Cockers in California)
P.S. Has anybody told Buddy Clinton about the website? We'd love to read about his bad dog doings. (Maybe they don't want us knowing which valuable White House carpet he peed on lately.)
I'm disappointed that your Links page is too restrictive. I'm a big beagle fan and I've always used "baddogs.com" to gain entry to the "beagles on the web" site. In fact, I ordered your Christmas video last year!
If I can't link quickly to "beagles", I'm afraid it adios to Baddogs....
I love this site! It is so funny! I keep it bookmarked. It's great but don't like the new look.
